South Florida and the Everglades Report

April 29, 2008

After a successful day of peacock bass fishing in Miami yesterday we ventured out today into the Florida everglades. With a front on its way through it made the fishing confitions a little tough on us but the fish still managed to cooperate for us. There was very little wind today thus the water was like glass most of the day and that in itself makes things tougher down here. That coupled with a move in the barometer can mean a long day on the water sometimes.

Our day started out a little slower than I had expected but again we managed a dozen or so before lunch. Not bad for the guys first time in the glades. After luch we went back to work and boated another dozen or so up to about 4 pounds. John had Ken and Don on his boat today and they reported doing about the same as us if not a little better fishing in the adjacent canal to us.
